Our story

A New Chapter at Sorella...

Like so many of you, we’ve always loved walking through Sorella’s doors. The warmth, the food, the people, the feeling of community. Sorella has always been more than just a shop and café. It’s been a gathering place filled with connection, celebrations, and countless memories.

In September 2025, we officially took over Sorella Boutique Gourmande, and we couldn’t be more honoured to continue this next chapter.

As two women who share a passion for food, gatherings, and community, we feel incredibly grateful to carry forward the heart of what Sorella means while bringing our own ideas and vision into the space.

Looking ahead, you can expect the same warmth, familiar faces, and delicious favourites you’ve come to love, along with some fresh new ideas we can’t wait to share with you. This is only the beginning, and we’re so excited to grow alongside all of you.

Here’s to new beginnings, while always honouring the roots that made them possible.

Meet Andrea

Andrea is a mom of three, wife, and lifelong food lover who’s always happiest bringing people together.

After earning her Marketing degree from Concordia, Andrea spent years running her own event business, where she learned how to create memorable experiences that connect people and tell a story. Whether it was a wedding, corporate event, or community celebration, she has always loved the creative process of turning an idea into something beautiful and meaningful.

At Sorella, Andrea combines that experience with her love of food and community. You’ll often find her planning events, helping in the kitchen, working alongside the catering team, or brainstorming new ways to make the space feel warm and inviting.

She loves the little details that make people feel cared for, whether it’s a perfectly plated meal or a thoughtful gift from the shelves.

Outside of Sorella, life is full and busy in the best way. Andrea is a hockey and synchro mom, always on the go between practices, school drop-offs, and cheering from the sidelines. Like so many families, she understands the beauty in those shared meals and simple moments that bring everyone together.

For Andrea, Sorella is an extension of what matters most: kindness, quality, and connection.

Meet Meghan

Meghan is a wife, mom of two busy kids, and someone who has worn a few different hats over the years.

After earning her BSc in Nutritional Science from McGill, Meghan worked as a Dietitian for nearly 10 years before joining a family business, where she discovered how much she loves the personal connections that come with small business life and being part of a community.

She has always been passionate about women’s health and the ways food and lifestyle can support balance, energy, and overall wellbeing.

Food has always been at the center of Meghan’s life, not just as nourishment and health, but as a way to bring people together. For her, it’s never just about eating. It’s about connection, comfort, and care.

These days, you’ll usually find Meghan at Sorella stocking the shelves with gourmet grocery finds and local products she’s excited to share, or chatting with customers about what’s new in the shop.

Originally from Ontario, Meghan now calls the West Island home, where life revolves around synchro, school drop-offs, hockey rinks, and everything in between.

For Meghan, owning Sorella is about creating a space where people feel cared for, whether that’s through a fresh soup and loaf of bread, a thoughtful gift, or simply a warm welcome when they walk through the door.

Thank you for supporting Andrea, Meghan, their families, and the entire Sorella team.
