For this special panettone, Filippi combines their traditional dough with another classic holiday treat from the Veneto: Mandorlato di Cologna Veneta (almond nougat from Cologna Veneta)! The pieces of chewy nougat melt while the panettone bakes, imbuing the whole cake with sweet honey and soft almond flavors.
This outstanding Italian Christmas cake comes from Filippi, the only certified B Corp pasticceria in Italy. The supple brioche cake is made from a 40-year-old yeast starter, fresh butter, free-range eggs, and other fine ingredients. Its cloud-like crumb is studded with raisins and candied orange peel.
Mother Maria and father Giuliano have beginning in 1972 in Zané, province of Vicenza, the production of naturally leavened baked goods (cakes). Together they have written the first chapter of this beautiful company, Filippi Patisserie, with genuine ingredients and family values. Today, with their sons Andrea and Lorenzo, the company goes on with the same devotion and the same enthusiasm.
Wheat flour, fresh butter, fresh free-range egg yolk, candied orange peels 6.3% (orange peels, glucose syrup, sugar), candied lemon peels 6.3% (lemon peels, glucose syrup, sugar), candied sour black cherries 6.3% (sour black cherries, glucose syrup, sugar), cubed candied apricots 6.3% (apricots, glucose syrup, sugar), cane sugar, fresh natural yeast (wheat flour, water), Italian Honey, fresh milk. Emulsifiers: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids. Milled candied orange peels 1.3% (lemon peels, glucose syrup, sugar), milled candied lemon peels 1.3% (orange peels, glucose syrup, sugar) salt, natural flavouring (vanilla pods).
May contain traces of nuts, milk and soya.
